Village Creek State Park

Wood Duck

The park, with campgrounds and frontage on Village Creek, is forested with mixed pine-hardwood and bottomland hardwood forests along with cypress/tupelo sloughs. Activities include camping, picnicking, swimming, hiking, fishing, and birding.

But canoeing is the big thing here! Floating down Village Creek among giant cypress trees is an amazing experience (and a relatively easy paddle).

Boating is permitted from April through October. Read more>
