Neches-Davy Crockett Paddling Trail

The 9.2 mile Neches-Davy Crockett Paddling Trail makes a perfect half-day paddle. The trail stretch is bordered in the west by the Davy Crockett National Forest boundary. Paddlers along the Neches might see deer, alligators, otters and many bird species such as Barred Owl, Belted King Fisher, Wood Ducks and more.

The trail debuted in early June 2010 as part of The Texas Paddling Trails program, coordinated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

"The Trail is just one reason that this region is a destination for a fabulous outdoor adventure."

Boating is permitted from April through October. Read more>
